Amazon.com Product Description Keep your ride smooth and sustained with the classic Original Swiss Competition Skate Bearings from legendary bearings manufacturer Bones. Swiss bearings are the best-selling high-grade skate bearings in the U.S. and have been acclaimed by professional skaters for 25 years. Swiss bearings are an excellent choice for any type of board, providing low friction for the around-town skater and durability for the professional competition skater. These precision-grade bearings have been outfitted with rubber shields for easy cleaning, competition-grade racing lubricant for smooth riding, and Nylon ball retainers for extra speed and sturdiness. Skate Rated bearings perform better than any ABEC rated bearings, and all Swiss Bearings carry a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

unbeatable swiss quality December 6, 2009 Bernard L. Hwang (santa clara, ca; usa (silicon valley, america's _real_ heartland!)) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
for me, it's almost a toss up between the original bones swiss bearings and the bones super swiss six bearings. in general, i _think_ i like the super swiss sixes a little better. i feel that the super swiss sixes are a little more durable but maybe need to be cleaned more often. also, i feel that the original swiss bearings don't fall apart during cleaning as easily as the super swiss sixes, but their cages are harder to reinstall. in general, i guess the _original_ bones swiss bearings are the industry's gold standard for bearings, but i won't be surprised if the bones super swiss sixes someday replace them. then again, it's so hard to get the skateboarding community off of plain seven ply and onto the better, engineered materials like powerlyte and p2, huh?
i refuse to buy chinese made bearings because china is a country that has horrible labour practices, horrible business practices, and horrible foreign policies. cheap prices hardly come close to make up for those evils. even though many kids swear by bones reds; experienced skateboarders that really care about bearings can tell you that bones reds aren't much better than all the other cheap, chinese bearings; so i refuse to buy them and really only buy swiss bearings although i would be okay with buying american or japanese bearings too.
Excellent, durable bearings. May 25, 2009 Arthur J. Franke 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've been using these bearings in my inline skates since 2005. My first set survived 2 years on the cobblestone streets of Boston, then another two years on the nasty pavement of NYC. With a cleaning and an oiling every 100 miles or so (once every two weeks, for me), they roll smooth for years. The only reason I have to buy new ones is because I left my first set in alcohol (to degrease them) for too long, and they rusted.
Not worth it February 20, 2009 Busy mom of many 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
One of my friends sold me some new swiss bones and there no better than the cheap ABEC 7 i bought for $15.00
Beware of Details! September 25, 2008 R. Kotseos 2 out of 11 found this review helpful
Please be AWARE! This is for 1 (yes ONE) bearing. Regardless of pictures or original pricing ($40 each?) you only get one bearing. So for $14.00 I got enough to do one wheel, GREAT! This was through
Skates on Haight, Inc. DBA skates dot com. not TGM, I would check with them before ordering.
Bones Roller Blade Bearings April 27, 2008 Dallas Roller Blader (Dallas, TX) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've always been very happy with Bones Bearings, all of the three different models I've tried. These Original Swiss Competition skate bearings are just as good as their more expensive ones, but not noticeably superior to their less-expensive Reds. There's nothing like a new set of wheels and bearings to make you enjoy roller blading even more.
